Outings & Workshops

WACC Road Trip 2015

In March WACC went on a road trip with a destination only revealed on the day. Each member had to capture 12 images that could be taken at any place along the way. The images could be taken and processed, with the only limitation being their own imagination.
The co-ordinator for this very successful outing was Louise Peacock and Helen Bishop.

Hume Weir Outing 2014

In November members attended a workshop and BBQ dinner out at Lake Hume. The weather was fine and there was a promise of an excellent sunset. First order of business was to start everyone using AV where you control the aperture and also lifting your ISO. What this achieves is that you control two sides of the triangle to get good shots - speed, aperture & ISO. As the light faded the speeds started to drop so this is why you need to use a (very sturdy) tripod and a remote control.
The co-ordinator for this was Garry Pearce and David Woolcock.

This workshop was held on Thursday the 21st of March and aptly organized by Stan Best and mentored by David Woolcock and Louise Peacock. 15 members braved what turned out to be reasonable weather conditions and an enjoyable night taking photos from the Harold Mair Bridge at the top end of Dean Street. We then moved to the Albury Railway station, where we were actually lucky to see a train there. The XPT was held up from traveling to Sydney early in the day due to some problem in Sydney.
Photos were taken in and around the Station, while some members joined in on a painting with light session.
